GENESIS is a free cosmic idle game played entirely in your browser—no download, no account, installable on phone or desktop, and always growing while you're away. You begin as a mote of dust. Matter gathers around you, and the Great Chain rises through 34 forms—pebble, moon, world, star, and onward into stranger shapes—each form multiplying everything you create.
Along the way, you spend Matter on research: two repeatable lines per tier, one-of-a-kind Wonders, and ◈ Keystones—a different kind of bonus every fourth tier. When a world is ready, you seed it: the run ends, the world joins your permanent Garden with a name, class, and trait, and the Genesis it mints feeds the Sun's store of lasting upgrades. Deep enough, whole galaxies collapse into Dark Matter, and the cycle begins again—wiser and faster. Watch the sky, too: comets streak past for those quick enough to catch them, and, once in a rare while, a golden one.
Two loops drive everything. The first is the world loop: grow, research, seed—each seed feeds the Sun, and a stronger Sun makes the next world faster. The second is the galaxy loop: when the Chain runs deep enough, a collapse trades an entire galaxy's history for ⬢ Dark Matter and upgrades nothing can take away. Idle when you want—the game grows for hours while you're gone—or play actively and chase the sky: gathering, comet-catching, and well-timed seeds reward attention without ever demanding it.
Under the hood, GENESIS is balanced against a two-layer simulation of 120 days of play, and every economy change must pass it before it ships. The devlog tells those stories with the numbers left in—from the soft-lock a tester's save file exposed to the progress bar that read 97% while telling a lie—and the guides go deeper on every system, written from the same numbers the game runs on.
